From 28 September to 2 October, we are officially kicking off the Intelligent Cities Challenge with the first ICC City Lab. Over five afternoons, we will organise a series of online events, which will offer participating cities the chance to network and further explore the themes of the challenge.

The first day of the event will focus on the EU’s vision for the 100 Intelligent Cities Challenge and is open to interested participants who are not representing an ICC city. Everyone is invited to join the event and participate in the panel discussions that will explore the role of cities and their ecosystems in search of a green and digital recovery.

The first ICC City Lab brings together over 400 attendees from the 126 selected cities and leading experts from the EU and beyond to start shaping the cities of tomorrow. The 5-day digital conference will lay the foundations for a 2.5-year journey in which cities will improve the quality of life of their citizens, create new business opportunities and enhance their cities’ sustainability through the uptake of advanced technologies.

The ICC affirms the EU’s commitment to sustainable urban development.
