ICC Covid-19 webinar

The second webinar explored the role of cities and local ecosystems in building resilience to face the COVID-19 crisis. Cities are in a strategic position to coordinate effectively top-down rules, investment instruments and guidance (EU and national) with the numerous bottom-up initiatives emerging from social actors. The webinar introduced an overview of the latest European Commission’s response to COVID-19. Experts from two European cities – namely Amsterdam and Barcelona – presented examples of effective city-led interventions. In addition, the webinar explored the role of social economy platforms and of the European Cluster Collaboration Platform in helping cities and industrial ecosystems respond to the crisis.
