3D printing masks

The Council of Ourense, through the La Molinera Knowledge Center, is collaborating in the manufacture, in the first instance, of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) masks with 3D printers and PLA coils, the material used to make products and screens. The aim is to make them available to individuals who request them and thus maintain insulation as established by the alert situation.

The first prototypes are currently being developed. Every 75 minutes one mask is manufactures, so each printer is expected to make between 7 and 8 a day. The Council of Ourense has made the 3D printers available to members of La Molinera as they will be working from home.
